Last week the New York Jets and Eagles did not look good on offense and on Thursday it may not be any prettier versus the NFL odds when betting online. This could possibly be a low scoring competition and the NFL wagering odds total is low since neither squad’s 1st string is supposed to play long.
Since it’s a matchup of backups for both squads, NFL odds in online sports wagering in the final week of the preseason are tough to predict. Neither squad did much last week on offense but it’s not likely the head coaches will risk their 1st squad starters for greater than a series or two on Thursday evening.
Jets Offense has been Weak – The Jets could be 1 of the Super Bowl faves at the online sportsbook but in the preseason they have shown no real indications that they’re a Super Bowl squad, particularly on offense. Overall, the Jets aren’t moving the ball, and quarterback Mark Sanchez has seemed more like a rookie than a second year quarterback. Last week they fumbled it 4 times and lost three of them. Sanchez also threw an interception in the loss to Washington. New York had 8 drives last week that went for five plays or fewer. Heading into the regular season, that is cause for considerable concern.
Eagles Offense is Not much Better – The Eagles really have to pick things up due to the fact they will need to score points in their season opener if they expect to keep up with the high-powered offense of the Green Bay Packers, but their 1st string offense was not pretty good last week either. As quarterback Kevin Kolb did nothing, the Eagles didn’t look pretty good last week. The Eagles are pretty anxious concerning their offensive line. Jason Peters is 1 of the most overpaid offensive linemen in the league, Center Jamaal Jackson has a bad knee and Stacy Andrews is sporadic.
The Under Seems Attractive: Both squads have sound defenses even with the backups, though the total on this competition is low. Neither squad has genuinely shown very much on offense. With the starters gaining limited time that probably will not change on Thursday evening. Under the total in NFL betting odds could be the way to go in this match.
